The Board of Directors
 

The Oakdene Centre is governed by the Bear River Crafts & Recreation Facility Society. The Board of Directors of the society are responsible for overseeing the operation of the Centre. The following is a list of the Board of Directors and their position.

Oakley'Oakie' Peck: Chairman

Mr. Peck is a very well known and respected local business owner and avid community member. At present Mr. Peck is serving his third term as Chairman of BRCRFS and is also involved in other community organizations.

Linda Findlay: Vice-Chairman

Ms. Findlay is an outgoing community member and instructor at the Middleton Nova Scotia Community College. She will be serving her fourth term on the Board of Directors to which she has had various positions. Ms. Findlay is a long time member of the Bear River Music Society.

Cathy Banks: Secretary

Ms. Banks is serving her second term on the Board of Directors. Taking over Ms. Findlay's position she is a true asset to the organization

Rona Hall: Treasurer

Ms. Hall will be serving her fourth term on the Board of Directors and second consecutive term as Treasurer. Ms. Hall is also a well known and respected business owner.

Robert Bays: Director

Mr. Bays was the original founder of the organization and main driving force behind the success of the Centre. Mr. Bays is well known through the province for his work at the Centre. He is also an advent member of various community organizations and construction contractor by trade.

Cindy Harris: Director

Ms. Harris is also one of the original members and directors of the organization and has been a crucial person in the formation of the organization. Ms. Harris also works within the legal industry.
